Merry Christmas!

It's official...

I am HOME! Although, my room doesn't quite feel like my own since I am living out of a suitcase and my mom kind of took it over. But it still is MY room so that helps. I'm sleeping SO much better at night sleeping in my own bed. It's amazing! I can't believe Christmas is in 2 days! It came so fast this year! I'm excited for my family to open up all the gifts that I got them this year. I think I did really good this year picking things out that they would like! I'll have to post pictures in the next couple of days after everyone opens up their presents. I'll have new pictures of Chase too! Happy Holidays everyone!

Come Home Safe

This morning a close friend of mine was deployed to Afghanistan. His wife, Kim is also a really good friend of mine. I'm asking that all of you please take just a few minutes out of your day to pray for them. This Christmas would have been their first Christmas together (they were married on June 7, 2008) but he will be gone. This year is going to be really hard for the both of them but their love is so strong that I have faith they will get through it. Come home soon, Ben! We will all miss you!

I got to watch Chase this morning and what fun it was. I got to wake up to him laying next to me,d rinking his milk, and watching cartoons. It was the PERFECT way to wake up! I didn't get to spend too much time with him because I had to get back to my room to study for finals. YUCK! But, I did come back tonight to hang out and got out to dinner. He even said "Nelle" again! It was amazing!

Mrs. S you are amazing! As if I wasn't already totally obsessed with Twilight already the coolest teacher in the whole world who is also a FABULOUS photographer made me THIS! How awesome is that? Adopt a US Soldier?

The question is up in the air. Should I or should I not? I am really interested in it I'm just nervous about it for some reason. Would I be taking on a commitment that I wouldnt be able to do to the best of my ability? The good thing is that they usually assign 3-10 people one soldier because of the fact that people don't always have the expense to fully take on a solder by themselves. So what do you all think? Let me know!!

Babysitting Fun

I got to "watch" my nephew last night while my brother and sister went out for a party. Technically I was just there in case he woke up because he was already asleep before they left which is why I went over early. Nicole picked me up from my dorm around 4:30 and we went and picked Chase up from daycare. I can not get over how big Chase is getting. Last night I got the chance to see his great climbing skills. He climbed on top of this wooden crate just to get the phone. I didn't go fast enough to get a picture but he even help it up to his ear after he pushed a few buttons. It was amazing. I couldn't believe that he got up there all by himself. Terrible 2's here we come!

On an even better note, Chase is starting to get close to me! I had one of the most touching Aunt moments last night. I was sitting in the recliner and he ran up to me and laid his head down on my arm. It was the sweetest thing. Then while I was in the kitchen he kept reaching for me to pick him up which he has done before but when I went to go put him next to Nicole so she could feed him, he got upset and stuck his arm out towards me like he was trying to ask her where I was going. Oh it practically broke my heart! Who knew that spending time with a 17 month old would become my favorite thing to do. oh well I can't help it! :0) Well enjoy a few more pictures from last night!

Thanksgiving Break was wonderful. It was SO nice to relax and not worry about a single thing. With the help of Mrs. B, I figured out how to get pictures from my phone to my computer.

I went shopping this weekend and ended up getting some shopping done. Dad is done, Mom is half way done, Adam is half way done, Aunt Deb is done, and Chase is done. Other than that, I have to get a few more things from the bookstore and everything is done. At least I know what I want to get everyone else so I don't have to worry thinking about that. I'm really excited about Christmas this year. It is by far my favorite holiday. I don't like the freezing cold weather that much, now that I have to walk in it alot more but I still look forward to it every year.

I got some pictures from my mom and got them scanned to my computer. They are pictures from my time in Mobile from Junior Miss. Some of them are pretty funny.

I'm not sure how many of you know, but my best friend had a baby on November 30, exactly 3 years ago from yesterday. She did give him up for adoption but I still feel the need to celebrate that day because of her strength during such a difficult time. I came back to Columbia earlier than she did so when I got to our room I put a sign on our door and blew up 40 balloons. I also wrote her a card just to tell her how proud I am of her and that I value our friendship so much.

TWILIGHT!!!

I have become to obsessed with these books and this movie it seems to be the only thing I talk about lately. I even bought a second copy of the book with the movie cast on the front so I could read the book for a second time before the movie came out. Oh, and for the poster that came with it too! :0) After waitiing for what seems like FOREVER! Twilight the movie will finally be here. I'm going to see it with Adam and his mom before I leave for Thanksgving and I have already warned them both that we will be at the movie theatre very early. I have to have great seats for this!

Its Been Too Long

It has been over a week since I last posted...weird. I guess that is because nothing new has been going on. This past week I had two tests, one on Wednesday and another on Thursday. On top of that I have a 6 page paper due next Wednesday and another test. On a positive note, only one more week until Thanksgiving break and I can go home and see my family. A completely stress free week. The Friday before break starts Twilight comes out which is the perfect start to my week! It is going to be so nice. Then I come back to school for two weeks to finish off the semester and then a WHOLE MONTH! OFF! I can not wait. Not only will I be off for a whole month, there is also Christmas which is by far my favorite holiday!!! So 3 more weeks left of school and my first semester at college is over! WOO HOO! I can't believe how fast it has gone by! Well that is all for now. I don't think I have too many new and exciting pictures since most of the cute ones are on my phone and I can't figure out how to get them to my computer yet. But here is an update of me and Emily's room. Not too different but still fun! Have a good weekend everyone!
