HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
This year Chase dressed up as a Tiger. He was so dang cute. When I went to show him his tail he didn't quite get it. He kept chasing it around in circles never quite reaching it. ha ha. On Friday I didn't have to work since I had been so sick the week before so I thought, what the heck might as well go spend some time with my nephew. After he woke up from his nap, I packed my bags for the weekend, got my car and went to get the little guy. He looked so surprised to see me and I breathed a sigh of relief when he reached for me over the people at daycare. The truth is, I don't get to see him as much as I want to or as much as I should. I really should go watch him more so my brother and sister can have some time to themselves. I need to work on that. Lets add that to the list. :0) Anyway, Chase and I went to the park with Dodger (their black lab) and we just had a grand time. It was so nice outside and he was so excited to be there! He just loves to be outside. It made my day to see how happy he was. Makes me smile to think about it. I miss him so much and love him so very much. I am the luckiest aunt in the whole world to have him as a nephew. I would do anything for that little guy and hopefully when he gets older, he'll know that. Anyway, the rest of my weekend I just relaxed. I'm feeling so much better and am somewhat ready for the upcoming week. Here are some pics from Halloween! Enjoy!

BUSH'S RESIGNATION SPEECH
The following 'speech' was written recently by an ordinary Maine-iac [a
resident of the People's Republic of Maine]. While satirical in nature, all
satire must have a basis in fact to be effective. This is an excellent piece
by a person who does not write for a living.
The speech George W. Bush might give:
Normally, I start these things out by saying 'My Fellow Americans.' Not
doing it this time. If the polls are any indication, I don't know who more
than half of you are anymore. I do know something terrible has happened, and
> that you're really not fellow Americans any longer.

> I'll cut right to the chase here: I quit. Now before anyone gets all in a

After a long recovery
...I am starting to feel a little. After waking up Friday and Saturday night at about 4:30 am I decided it was time to go to the doctors. I still wasn't feeling horrible but was very sick of not getting enough sleep. I waited 3 hours!!! and then finally left with an antibiotic and no real answers. The immediate strep test came back negative but they were going to send it off just because they were curious. They said there was also a chance of me having mono. So.. long story short, they gave me medicine hoping it would cure whatever I had. Thankfully, it is finally starting to kick in. I got a very red almost purple rash all over my body, my temperature got up to 102.3 and my throat and hears hurt so bad it made me cry. In other words, I got scarlet fever. Wonderful, I know. But I went to Jeff City to get out of the germ infected halls for about 3 days and now my first day back to school Im still not 100% better. Slowly but surely I am getting there. I still have my rash and my throat hurts every once in a while. Oh well. I'll get through it. This getting sick stuff though is really starting to make me mad. Lysol and I are about to become best friends :0)

Taking A Breather
I have been studying non stop since last Wednesday! I am exhausted. Last Thursday I had a test in my Intimate Relations class (which I got an A on!) and ever since that test got over I have been studying for my other 3! I have this week. Today I got my meteorology test over with and I think that I did really well. There were maybe 3 of 4 questions that I wasn't positive on, but all the rest were really easy to me. But today is just the beginning. On Wednesday I have a history midterm which is going to be the death of me. I HATE it! So he gave us this study sheet with 3 essay questions on it and about 24 terms. 2 of the 3 essays (word for word from the study guide) will be on the test. We then just have to pick one to write about. Then, only 6 of the terms will be on the test and we have to discuss 3 of those. So really the midterm isn't that bad. It is the studying and memorizing 2 out of the 3 essays and knowing in detail what all the terms are. It sucks!...to say the least. I know I'll get through it. I don't really have any other choice. So that is what my week looks like.
This weekend was a lot of fun. Friday Adam and I watched a movie with our friends Taryn and Dustin. I tried to watch most of the movie but ended up making about 100 flashcard instead. I felt so rude but really didn't have any other choice. Then, on Saturday Adam's dads family (or a few of them) came over to the house for Larry's (Adam's dad) "Birthday Party". Now while that seems so very weird it was actually really nice. We just had a bbq and hung out. Larry's birthday was just a reason to get some people together and have some fun. Adam and I made an appearance and our friend Ben's pre-deployment party which was nice. We got to hang out and talk with him which neither one of us has gotten to do in quite some time. Sunday, Adam, Justin, and Dustin played with my brother in his softball game and then we went to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner. Taryn, Adam, Dustin, and I. This weekend wasn't all that bad but I am REALLY looking forward to this weekend and its only monday! ah! ha ha
One last piece of info. I think I have decided what I want to major in. Now, I will probably change my mind again but as of right now it is....

[hint 1]
[can you guess it yet?]

I'm sure you can guess it now. Yes, a teacher. I have always thought about being a teacher. Everytime I think of something I might want to be there is something negative that makes me decided that it really isn't right for me and I go right back to a teacher. I'm thinking 4th or 5th grade maybe? Well that is the biggest thing going on with me right now. Trying to figure out what I want to do with my life.

Never thought I would say this...
but I'm ready to go home. This weekend my cousin Kari is getting married and I have never been so excited to go back to St.Louis. I haven't really been there since I moved here a week before I even moved into the dorms. I did go back for about 5 minutes to pick up some Cardinal tickets from my mom but that is it. I can't wait to sleep in my own bed with my doggies. I miss them a lot. And, with my mom being gone on her cruise and me not being able to talk to her on the phone, I'm really excited to see her too! Plus, I get to go to a wedding. All in all, I'm just ready to go back home. I need a break from this college stuff.
On a different note, nothing really new is going on. I went to Adam's house last night because I bought this purple dress (color in the wedding) to wear but it needed a few alterations. And seeing that my mom won't be back from her trip until the reception I really needed someone to fix it. Cindy, Adam's mom, stepped up to the challenge and might I add, she is doing a great job! I needed to straps shortened and it was pretty low cut in the front so she is putting some material there. I also have these awesome shoes that I am just dieing to wear. I'm so excited! Anyway, I went there last night to try the dress on since I won't be back until Friday night and then there won't really be any time to fix anything else. I ended up just staying the night since I don't have class today until 11am and I really hate walking back to my room from the parking lot at night by myself. There isn't really anyone around and if I can stay and just come back in the morning, why not? So that is that. Nothing else is new. Just another normal week at MIZZOU. We're #2 now!! Can you believe it? This weekend is the first home game in a few weeks and it is going to be CrAzY. Too bad I won't be here but you bet I'll be watching it on TV! woohoo!

TGI almost F
I am REALLY looking forward to this weekend. While up to this point I have been enjoying going to class, I'm starting to hit that point where the excitement just isn't there. The excitement of being a new college student, walking to my big lecture halls. It was intriguing. Now, I find that I think about not going to class or I put homework off maybe a little too close to the end of the week. Don't get me wrong, I'm still doing my homework and still getting good grades, I just am not as excited about it. So anyway, I am really looking forward to this weekend. I don't have to work all weekend. Saturday, Sunday, or Monday and I get off early tomorrow night. *sigh* It isn't even that I am doing something all the exciting this weekend. Friday night I am going to Adam's softball games like I usually do and then more than likely we will be going to the Jeff City Jay's homecoming football game. Saturday I am especially excited about. That morning while Adam is cutting grass I am going to be getting my hair cut! YAY! I absolutely LOVE getting my hair cut. For one they massage your head during the shampoo and that just feels amazing. Secondly, I just get this huge boost of self confidence after a hair cut. I'm sure a lot of girls get like that and I am definitely one of them. Then Adam and I have to go shopping. He needs a purple tie and I need silver shoes for my cousins wedding next weekend. Saturday night the Nebraska vs. MIZZOU football game comes on and we plan on ordering pizza, wings, and all that good stuff to just sit and watch the game. I hope all of you will have it on cheering for the Tigers. On Sunday nothing is really going on. I'll drive home at some point and prob work on homework for the rest of the night. So that is what is to be expected of this weekend. I am truly looking forward to it. Adam and I are doing GREAT! and as you can tell from this blog (hopefully) I am still very happy with the way things are right now :0) I hope everyone has a good weekend! Love you!
