Not much has been going on but I hate when I avoid my blog for too long. I'm sure I can think of something to write in here.
School is beginning to get stressful and not just this weeke either. I met with an advisor today to switch to the school of Health Professions and go over my scedule for NEXT year! Can you believe it? We've been in school for only 5 weeks and I already have a date to register for classes for Fall semester. It is just crazy how time flies. I never even get enough time to think about this semester before the next ones comes along! Well anyway, after meeting with my advisor I felt stress wash over me. I can not believe the classes I am going to have to take by the end of Spring 2010 in order to apply into the Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound program. Lets make a list shall we?
- Statistics
- Intro to DMU
- Chem (lab & lecture)
- Physics (lab & lecture)
- Physiology( lab & lecture)
- Anatomy (lab & lecture)
- Sociology
- Medical Terminology
- a writing intensive course
I am going to die. I would just like to throw that out there. On the plus side, Physics I'm getting over with over the summer at Flo and I'm kinda going to cheat my way through Chemistry. Instead of taking at MIZZOU where it is ridiculous hard and lasts all semester, I am going to take it at night at Columbia College where it only lasts 8 weeks and counts as my lab AND lecture. YEEHAW!!! Thank goodness for that. In addition to that, my intro to DMU only lasts 8 weeks too. So, I guess it isn't too bad but I am definitely not taking these choice of classes for fun. It is going to royally stink.
This weekend is my really good friend Stephanie's birthday so tonight we are going out to dinner and tomorrow we are going to be having a fiesta. Should be fun! I'll be sure to post pictures when possible.
Colin's job sucks! While, he does make pretty good money, ok he makes really good money, the hours suck! This weekend I will not be seeing him at all UNLESS I drive to Fulton during the day before he goes to work. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday he works from 5pm- 6am. How awful. Then he is off Monday- Thursday and works again next weekend from 5am- 6pm. So, hopefully we can do something next weekend.
My title as the current Junior Miss will be ending soon. Missouri's Junior Miss is scheduled for March 18- March 21st. The show where I will give my title away will be held on March 21st in South County. I am not for sure on the location but I will be finding out soon. I hear we have at least 7 or 8 girls which is better than the 4 we had last year. I hope the show turns out good but I am not looking forward to giving my title away. While, it is a great experience and I think every girl should have the opportunity to do it, I'm not ready to give it up. Going to Mobile for Nationals was very stressful beforehand but talk about the trip of a lifetime!!! I miss all my AJM sisters and my host family especially. I can't wait to see them again this summer! I haven't decided if I am going to go back as a has-been or just for the show but either way I will be staying and hanging out with my second family! A has been is when the Junior Misses from the previous year all come back the second week of nationals and participate in the show and do things around Mobile. The only reason why I am debating on whether to go or not is because I am taking that Physics class over the summer and it goes ALL summer so I'm not sure if I will be able to miss 8-10 days of school. We'll see how it works out though.

If you would like to help Missouri's Junior Miss out, we are doing a fundraiser to help raise money to give away as scholarships at the show. If you like TJ's pizza or dessert (pie, frozen cookie dough), things of that nature, give me a shout out and I can email you the order form!
Well that is about all. I am glad the weekend is here. The upcoming week is full of tests and quizzes with midterm quickly approaching.
Hugs!
p.s. Mrs. S- I would really like some pictures of me with my Junior Miss medallion. I don't know how much that would be or if you even have time/would be able to do it. Just a thought. I should have gotten them when I did my shots for Nationals but I wasn't thinking! ha.
